  • Mark Greenfield

    Managing Director

    Mark is a director of Healthskills, and his primary focus is in outcome-based facilitation, development of high-performing teams and leaders, and coaching individuals to tap into some of their unlimited potential. Clients describe his style as dynamic and enthusiastic, driven by a belief that personal development should be fun and that individuals can achieve much more in a highly interactive, goal-focused environment.

    He has enjoyed over twenty years working with healthcare professionals; initially in business management and leadership development within the pharmaceutical industry, and since 2000, working directly with individuals in the NHS at all levels, with clinicians, managers and multi-disciplinary teams.

    Mark uses many tools in his work with clients: he is a diploma-qualified coach, trained in step I and II of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and an approved facilitator of both the Aston Team Performance Inventory and the NHS Leadership Qualities Framework.

  • Ian Munro

    Non Executive Director

    Ian has worked at board level for over 20 years as an operating and main board director, as a non-executive director and as a consultant, coach and mentor. He has worked across a wide range of business sectors for blue chip organisations, and the Public Sector. Today he continues to be hold several directorships.

    Pragmatic and hands-on, Ian coaches managers and directors to cope with change in both developing and turnaround situations. He has a track record of achieving results in tough challenging environments. His approach has been welcomed in both Public and Private sector assignments where he also utilises intensive coaching techniques with top teams.

    Ian is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) of the International Coach Federation and an Associate of the Association for Coaching. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and The Institute of Directors.

  • Anne Tofts

    Founding Partner

    Anne is primarily involved in working with the boards and senior teams of healthcare organisations on strategy and leadership development.  Anne has also been asked to facilitate whole system events including engagement events with Lord Darzi and David Nicholson.

    With over 25 years experience in the NHS including in a hospital based operational role and 6 years at the Department of Health, Anne brings an in-depth understanding of management and leadership issues.  Perhaps her most challenging role was as regional director for organisational development in South East Thames supporting the implementation of NHS Trusts.

    Anne has a particular interest in working with clinicians on leadership Issues, identifying the benefits and issues that will engage them to achieve real and lasting change in organisations and service provision.

  • Charles Marshall

    Partner

    Charles has a great mix of commercial and NHS experience, having over twenty years experience working as a senior business manager in the commercial health industry, and a number of years working with groups of healthcare professionals in the NHS and the Pharmaceutical industry. With an academic background in Psychology and Economics, a great deal of his work has centred upon the development of leadership within organisations and the creation and maintenance of high performing teams. Charles is passionate about helping people to maximise their potential.

    Highly influenced by modern thinking on leadership approaches that engage with and get the most from staff, his main focus is on personal and team development to drive performance and achievement. He is a qualified coach at Diploma level, an NLP Practitioner and accredited to use both the HBDI individual and team profile and Aston team Performance Inventory.

  • Bob Baker

    Partner

    Bob specialises in personal, team and organisational development, He has a strong understanding of the context in which development takes place, especially inter-agency settings and health policy and practice. After working with British Gas, the NHS, a university and an employee-owned consultancy, Bob is now using his experience to deliver innovative leadership programmes and support to a variety of clients.

    Bob is passionate about giving space to leaders to reflect and understand their leadership and organisational dilemmas. He uses action learning, coaching and conversational approaches to make this happen. He is also researching issues around how leaders cope with demanding roles – the techniques they use, the priorities they set and the balance that they achieve. He has also contributed to international leadership programmes – working in Bulgaria, Spain and Belgium.

    Bob has an interest in mutuals and social enterprises He sat on the OPM ESOT (Employee Share Ownership Trust) as an elected trustee for 4 years. He is working on the impact employee ownership has on organisations and the different demands it places on leaders.

    Bob is Chairman of Somerstown Community Association - a small charity run by and for local people who live in the Somerstown Ward in Camden, London

  • Dawn Scott

    With a career in the NHS spanning over 20 years, Dawn served 4 years at Board level both as CEO and Director. Managing Director of her own Interim Management and Consultancy Company for 8 years, Dawn has provided senior consultancy expertise to Healthcare Boards and Executive Teams. Now a qualified Executive and Business Coach, Dawn works with a range of executive managers and clinicians to explore a fresh perspective on career, life, relationship and personal development issues.

    Dawn has a track record of building successful teams and is a natural motivator. With key skills in strategic change management, relationship management, and team facilitation, Dawn is able to bring a positive energy into coaching to enable each client to see their own true potential.

    Working as an interim or external consultant has enabled Dawn to offer fresh insight to individuals and teams in organisations who are going through change or transition. Dawn observes “In difficult economic times people need to take time out to appraise how changes will have an impact on their lives. Coaching is such a worthwhile experience for those who take that time for themselves”.

    Dawn’s coaching style is naturally empathetic although not afraid to challenge thinking. Asking difficult questions is part of the coaching process and this often results in new discoveries for many clients.

    Outside of work Dawn is a passionate Rugby Union fan, regularly seen on the Twickenham terraces. She follows her local rugby union side at Huddersfield and has been an active club member for 11 years. Married to Dentist Gavin and with 3 children at University she loves cooking for big family gatherings when everyone comes home at term time. She keeps fit by walking on the west Yorkshire moors with the dogs.

    Melanie has worked in the NHS for over 13 years in both clinical and management capacities. She has experience of clinical and corporate service management and has enabled services to meet commissioning targets through the introduction of lean principles, role redesign and workforce development. She has a good understanding of governance and has developed Trust education policies to ensure NHS compliance with quality frameworks and litigation authorities.

    Melanie is passionate about staff development, leadership and enabling individuals to achieve their full potential. She won a London-wide innovation award for embedding learning within organisations, particularly at Band 1-4. She has extensive experience in developing appraisal / performance frameworks and the implementation and development of competency frameworks (KSF) across organisations. She is an experienced facilitator, trainer and presenter. She is an NHS LQF 360 accredited facilitator and has MBTI accreditation, OPP, Oxford.

    Mike is an experienced, organisation consultant, with 10 years in UK Healthcare followed by 15 years in a major UK retail company with an annual turnover in excess of £11 billion and employees of 95,000. Mike is now in his 6th Year as an independent Organisational Consultant.

    Mike specialises in Organisation Development solutions, both in the UK and in Europe. He is experienced at designing and delivering major programmes including change, leadership, coaching and team development; Mike is also a highly experienced Executive & Personal Coach.

    Mike lives with his family in the North West of England, travelling extensively for work. He is an accomplished pilot and participates in outdoor activities for both recreation and work

    Tess ensures that all of our team can function efficiently and effectively wherever we need to be in the UK; a logistical challenge at times with a team working throughout the country.

    Programme Manager

    Lucie is part of our talented client support team, ensuring that we are responsive to our client needs and requests, and maintaining a high standard of delivery and presentation.

    Lucie manages client projects and leadership programmes from the moment that we frame a proposal to the final day of delivery and evaluation. An important part of her role is to maintain regular communications with all of our clients and programme participants.

  • Lucie Lee

    Business Development Manager

    Paul has worked within the NHS either directly, or as an Account Manager & Service Improvement Consultant for the past 20 years. His interests are focused on transformational change, the effects of behaviour within organisations, working with dysfunctional teams and promoting the use of information and process improvement.

    Paul is an experienced facilitator and senior project manager having successfully led and implemented new technology, new systems, new infrastructure and redesigned roles for evolving and changing organisational models. He has facilitated patient pathway redesign using LEAN thinking across a whole Mental Health and Acute Trust in support of their foundation trust integrated business plan.

    Paul is a qualified project manager, has level A qualification in psychometrics and is accredited to give NHS LQF 360 feedback.

    Paul’s passion is working with front line teams who directly interface with patients. He seeks to ensure that every development intervention leads to improved outcomes for patients; outcomes that can be measured to bring a return on investment.
